Feedback on senior's PTA presentation

             In PTA presentation, I had learned many thing about the PTA. I realized that senior had put many effort into PTA research. I gone read almost all the research title in there. I had asked senior some question for their PTA research. For example, framework of the PTA research. Senior had explained to me about the framework has to find by self through the research topic. We may find the framework that have dependent variable and independent variable.

The advantage and the challenges in undertaking ethnography study in the marketing research

Ethnography is geared toward exploring culture. Ethnography is the study and systematic to record the human cultures. This has a descriptive work to produced from some research. Ethnography is the scientific study of human social phenomena and communities, for example, fieldwork. Besides, ethnography also may defined as both a qualitative research process or method and product and aim is cultural interpretation.

The ethnography lives among the people who are the decide to study for a period, he or she meed usually to record data about the human cultures and societies. Ethnographer have close relationship with the human who can provide the specific information and data on aspects of cultural life to ethnographer.

The advantages of ethnography in marketing research :

  • Ethnography can provide extensive and in-depth findings about the customer.
  • Ethnography can evolve and explore new lines of inquiry customer.
  • Through the ethnography can better understand both the impact and emotional triggers and the motivations that impact product purchase and usage so that, the marketer can better connect with the customer.
The challengers of ethnography in marketing research :

  • This take longer time to build relationship between the customer.
  • This is hard for marketers to gather and collect the information or data under certain period.
  • The different behavior and culture of customer will also become obstacle in marketing research.

Narrow down the research topic

First, i want do my research topic is " young consumer and fashion branding" . But this topic is unclear and fashion area is too big. So, i tried to found some literature and journal to narrow down my topic. Lastly. i found that the topic is attitudes of young consumer towards branding clothes. I want to observed the influence of the young consumer to purchase branding clothes. Is that for expression themselves or for the quality of the branding clothes.

Inductive or deductive type of research

My topic research is use deductive method to continue my research.


Figure 1 show the deduction and induction methods

Deduction is the process by which we arrive at a reasoned 
conclusion by logical generalization of a known fact. 
This also can called " top-down" method.

The different between facts and theory

           The fact and theory are word with different meaning. Fact and theory have different use in different field and studies. But, commonly this two word are use in science field.
         
           Definition of theory is a set of assumptions, propositions, or accepted facts that attempts to provide a eloquent or rational explanation of causal relationships among a group of observed phenomenon. Definition of fact is something that can be tested the observation by anyone with the suitable skill and equipment.
         
           Facts are observations but theories are the explanations to those observations. Theories are ambiguous facts but facts are really facts.


            

What is Research?

                Research is a process to collect, analyse information to solve the problem or more understanding the problem or topic that we have faced. Research have many step and we need to solve one by one our self to find out the solution and answer. Research can provide the information for the manager to make the right decision.

        Topic: The Factor That Influence Job Satisfaction among Smartphone Employee in Kuching


                    Job satisfaction is important to determination of subjective well- being and is a crucial factor for labor market outcomes. Job satisfaction can define as a work has positive evaluation and a positive effect deriving from it. Job satisfaction has state resulting of positive emotional from evaluate of one’s job or job experience. Job satisfaction is based on the worker feeling and on what they think about the job. Nowadays, smartphone is an important tool for people. Thus, mobile communication companies have high sales in market. A high job satisfaction of smartphone employee can affect the sales of one mobile communication company. Thus, the boss needs to fulfill the satisfaction of employee. Researcher wants to determine the factors that influence job satisfaction among Smartphone employee in Kuching.

Intro Myself

                I'm Angel Teng Ann Chee (25897) come from Sibu. I'm from Faculty Economics and Business in Unimas and taking Marketing courses for 3 year. I'm year 2 semester 2 student. I choose Unimas for study because Unimas is more nearest from my hometown. I choose marketing courses for my studies because i very interesting the process of the market and the process to attract customer and so on. My topic of final year project is about the effectiveness and ineffectiveness advertising can direct influence the sales of one company in the market.
